Minca town

25 minutes down · 35 minutes back up

  • Half a morning, or a whole lazy afternoon
  • Free to wander

The little mountain town below: the church, cafés, restaurants and the colectivos to Santa Marta — 25 minutes downhill on foot, or a short moto-taxi ride.

The signpost by the gate says 25 minutes to Pueblo/Town; coming back up, the hostel says to allow about 35 on foot, or roughly 8 minutes by moto-taxi. Some tours, including Santana’s public listing, meet in town near the church.

Town is the place for an extra meal out, supplies and onward transport: shared colectivos to Santa Marta leave from the centre through the day.

These photos show Vista Verde and its surroundings, not Minca town itself. The hostel’s own photos of it are on the wish list.
